Bonn

My first trip to Bonn was in the summer of 2018. I was intrigued because of the following reasons:

  • Beethoven was born in Bonn
  • Chicken nugget is from Bonn
  • Bonn used to be the capital of West Germany
  • The people in Bonn are genuinely kind and warm-hearted
  • Rheinaue has the most beautiful botanical garden I have ever seenIMG_4960[1]

I loveeeee the small city vibes. I love the hills (when I’m not biking.) I love going ‘where everybody knows your name, and they are always glad you came.’

If you know where those lyrics came from, can we please be best friends?

I love the homey vibes. I love the significance and history behind the city. I love walking down the street with my stud of a bf and running into people he knows. It makes me feel as if I was back in Minneapolis, where I know everyone. It makes me feel like I have a second home here in Germany.

Bonn is SO cute. Bonn is a great place to live and raise a family (coughcough.) Bonn is a great city to visit. And most importantly Bonn has the best people in Germany. 🙂

Chicken nugget and I spent an afternoon exploring Rheinaue and it could not have been better. It looks like a fairytale scene from magazine wedding photos. Absolutely beautiful.

Like whaaaaat?!! I can’t even! So gorgeous.

I am so impressed with this city and I can not wait to continue visiting now that I’ll be only 20 minutes away instead of 6 hours. Lol
